Privacy and data handling

The short version

We hold nothing about your students, ever. The only personal data we hold is what an adult chooses to type into the briefing form on this site, and it is used for one thing: to reply to that enquiry.

Who is responsible for it

What we collect, and only this

1. The name you enter on the briefing form.
2. The school, group or organisation you enter.
3. The work email address you enter.
4. Anything you choose to write in the message box.
5. Which page the form was submitted from, and, if you arrived through a partner's link, a short code identifying that partner so the enquiry is credited correctly. That code is not about you and contains nothing personal.

That is the complete list. We do not buy contact data, we do not scrape it, and there is no way to end up on this list without having filled in the form yourself.

Your browser

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. If you arrive through a partner link, the partner code described above is held in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit so that it survives you moving between pages. It is discarded when you close the tab. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information any web server receives in order to serve a page to you.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To answer the enquiry you sent us, and to continue that conversation if you want one. The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a business and asked it to reply. We do not rely on consent for this because you have already asked us to get in touch, and we do not use it for anything else.

What we never do with it

1. We never sell it, rent it or trade it.
2. We never add you to a mailing list or newsletter from a briefing request.
3. We never pass it to another organisation to market to you.
4. We never put it into an AI tool for training. It would be a poor look for a company that teaches AI honesty.

Who else touches it

Your enquiry is delivered by email and recorded so that we can keep track of who we owe a reply to. Both of those sit inside Google Workspace, so Google processes it on our behalf as our provider. This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Those two are the only third parties involved.

How long we keep it

For as long as the conversation is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it starts again. If it clearly goes nowhere, we remove it. You do not have to wait for that: ask and we will remove it.

What you can ask us to do

1. Tell you exactly what we hold about you.
2. Correct anything that is wrong.
3. Delete it.
4. Stop contacting you.
5. Send it to you in a portable form.

Email info@aimingup.org and we will action it. We are deliberately not promising a turnaround time here, because your school almost certainly has its own procedure and its own timescales, and we would rather work to those than invent our own.

Student data, said plainly because it matters most

1. We do not receive any student data at any point. Not names, not work, not results, not assessments.
2. Nobody from AIMing Up has contact with your students. Lessons are delivered by your own staff, in your school, on your systems.
3. The student lessons are pre-recorded video and printed sheets. There is nothing for a child to type into, no account to create and no login.
4. Where a lesson asks a student to use an AI tool, it is your school's chosen tool under your school's supervision and policy. We never introduce a tool into your school.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will change the date below. We will not quietly rewrite it.
